Digitalization
of the system in taxation is an important step towards modernizing text
collection which will increase transparency and revenue Finance Minister
Muhammad Aurangzeb said that digital transformation is the government's top
priority to improve tax collection to promote sustainable economic growth.
He
said this while presiding over a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Friday
after the signing of an agreement by the global consulting firm McKinsey &
Company for digitization of the tax system.
The
meeting was attended by the Ministry of Finance, Federal Board of Revenue, and
consulting firms. Digitalization of text systems is an important step towards
modernizing text collection which will increase transparency and profitability.
FBR
Chairman Malik Amjad Zubair Towana stressed FBR's commitment to modernize its
operations by leveraging technology to enhance revenue collection. It is an
important step towards achieving the goals of Pakistan to better serve the
people of Pakistan.
